About Shrutashravas
Somapi is his father, the Magadha Sahadeva his grandfather and Jarasandha his great-grandfather. The family descends from Brihadratha, a son of Uparichara Vasu. Shrutashravas therefore belongs to the continuation of the Magadha house rather than to Jarasandha’s own generation.
