About Trasadasyu
This branch of Surya Vansh descends from Mandhata through Purukutsa and Trasadasyu. It later reaches Trishanku and Harishchandra before continuing toward Bahu and Sagara. The succession describes several generations of the same house, not one group of contemporary rulers.

ROLE & ESSENCE
Attributes & Significance
This place in the succession connects the older house of Purukutsa with the later kings remembered for royal trials, exile and recovery. A father-and-son sequence gives those stories a family setting without treating an ancestor’s deed as an inherited personal achievement.
Role
Trasadasyu is a king of the solar dynasty of Ikshvaku, named in the Vishnu Purana as the son of Purukutsa and the father of Sambhuta.
TRADITION & MEANING
Traditions & Interpretations
Trasadasyu is remembered chiefly through this royal genealogy. The surviving notice identifies his family position, but gives no separate account of his wars, marriages or personal weapons. His place in the dynasty is clearer than the details of his individual reign.
