About Nirvriti
Vrishni, his father, is himself the son of the male king Kunti. This places Nirvriti several generations after Jyamagha and Shaivya’s son Vidarbha. It also distinguishes his father from the later Vrishni who appears among Satvata’s sons.

ROLE & ESSENCE
Attributes & Significance
Dasarha is Nirvriti’s son in this account, and Vyoman belongs to the next generation. Later family designations encompass descendants as well as their ancestors; the use of the Dasarha name does not make those later people members of Nirvriti’s immediate household.
TRADITION & MEANING
Traditions & Interpretations
Related transliterations of Nirvriti occur in parallel genealogies. The king followed here stands between Vrishni and Dasarha, and the brief personal notice concerns descent rather than a described spiritual attainment.
