About Kratha
His brothers are Kaishika and Romapada. Their father Vidarbha is the son born to Jyamagha and Shaivya after the king’s return from battle with a prospective daughter-in-law. Kratha therefore belongs to the generation after that household story, not to the group of Jyamagha’s brothers.

ROLE & ESSENCE
Attributes & Significance
Kratha’s place makes the division of Vidarbha’s household understandable. The three brothers are contemporaries within the genealogy, while their descendants form different lines. Following Kratha is a choice of branch, not a declaration that the other two brothers have no posterity.
TRADITION & MEANING
Traditions & Interpretations
The Kunti who is Kratha’s son is a male royal ancestor. He is neither the earlier Haihaya Kunti nor Pritha, the mother of the Pandavas.
