About Pratikshatra
His grandfather is the earlier Shura, whose father is Viduratha. His son Svayambhoja becomes Hridika’s father, placing Pratikshatra two generations above Hridika. The family thus continues from Shamin through Pratikshatra rather than beginning anew with the better-known descendants. The later Shura, father of Vasudeva and Pritha, belongs below Hridika and Devamidhusha, not to Pratikshatra’s immediate household.
