About Bhayada
He is named as Manasyu’s son and Sudyumna’s father. His grandfather in that sequence is Pravira, while his grandson is Bahugava. These immediate connections place him between the first Paurava generations and the later branch that reaches Samyati, Ahamyati and Raudrashva.

ROLE & ESSENCE
Attributes & Significance
Bhayada belongs to the intermediate royal generations between Manasyu and the descendants who later carry the Bharata name. Through Sudyumna and Bahugava his branch reaches the household of Raudrashva, whose ten sons widen the ancestry beyond a single royal successor.
Role
Bhayada is an ancestor in the early Paurava line before Dushyanta and Bharata. The Vishnu Purana identifies him through the royal succession following Manasyu.
TRADITION & MEANING
Traditions & Interpretations
The Bhagavata’s corresponding early list uses the name Charupada between Manusyu and Sudyu. The Vishnu Purana’s Bhayada is retained in this account without claiming that every variation of the list has identical wording.
