About Riksha
His grandfather is Hastin, the founder of Hastinapura in the Vishnu Purana sequence. Through Samvarana, Riksha becomes Kuru’s grandfather. Ajamidha also has descendants through Nila, so the later Panchala family belongs to another branch of Riksha’s wider ancestral house.

ROLE & ESSENCE
Attributes & Significance
The route through Riksha explains how Samvarana and Kuru remain connected to Ajamidha and the older Paurava house. It is a direct ancestral branch, not an association added simply because the rulers all belong to the same dynasty.
TRADITION & MEANING
Traditions & Interpretations
A later Riksha appears between Akrodhana’s branch and Dilipa in the ancestry of Pratipa. That later namesake belongs after Kuru and is not this earlier father of Samvarana.
