About Karambhi
Karambhi’s ancestry belongs to Kratha’s branch of Vidarbha’s family. Vidarbha is the son born to Jyamagha and Shaivya in the earlier family narrative, and his descendants divide into several royal houses. Within Kratha’s succession, Karambhi’s grandfather is Dasharatha, the son of Navaratha. This is the Yadava Dasharatha, separate from Rama’s father in Ayodhya. Karambhi therefore belongs to a different royal household from the familiar Ramayana family.
