About Anuratha
Anuratha’s ancestry returns through Anavaratha to the royal Madhu, Devakshatra and the earlier descendants of Vidarbha. This is Kroshtu’s branch of the Yadava family, separate from the related Haihaya succession. The family narrative has already introduced Vidarbha through the household of Jyamagha and Shaivya; Anuratha belongs to the later generations that connect that household with the Satvata princes.

ROLE & ESSENCE
Attributes & Significance
Puruhotra and Anshu come between Anuratha and Satvata. Satvata’s sons, including Andhaka and Vrishni, begin the later branches of the family. Anuratha is therefore an ancestor of that wider household rather than an immediate brother or father of those branch founders.
